Partnering with BDG Architects and Kemkar Construction, our mechanical fixings and framing systems were used to deliver a rooftop deck system that’s fast to install, ultra-durable, and packed with design flexibility.

Anchorjak® Adjustable Pedestals: The base of this build starts with our patented Anchorjak® pedestal framing system. Designed to support everything from decking to glass railings, Anchorjak allows for easy height adjustments—ideal for sloped roofs, membrane builds, or tricky urban sites.
J Vice Structural Fixings: Using our range of mechanical fixings, including joist brackets and connectors, the deck structure was secured quickly and efficiently. Everything is pre-engineered to work with aluminium joists or timber framing, reducing on-site labour and ensuring long-term stability.
Astroturf-Ready Finish: Instead of timber decking or pavers, this rooftop was finished with TigerTurf synthetic grass—giving homeowners a soft, low-maintenance green space perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Our framing system accommodates turf just as easily as tiles or composite boards.
Engineered for Railings: The rooftop was also fitted with Glass Vice® Aluminium Finrail and privacy screens—top-fixed directly to the Anchorjak® timber framing system. This creates a hidden-fix aesthetic without compromising strength or safety.

The System Behind the Design

What makes this rooftop deck stand out is the clever use of a timber frame on Anchorjak® pedestals, secured using patented JVice brackets. This setup allows builders to fix structural timber directly to adjustable pedestals—speeding up installation while offering precise control over height and slope.
Unlike traditional systems, this approach minimizes penetrations into the membrane, significantly reducing the risk of long-term moisture exposure and costly waterproofing failures.
