The brief

Keith Hay Homes were adding prefab classrooms onto an existing school and needed a foundation system that could go in quick, sit light on the site, and carry the load without the mess and delay of traditional footings. Ground screws were the obvious call.

The groundwork

Good foundations start before the first screw goes in the ground. Keith Hay Homes supplied the geotech and site information up front, so we knew what we were dealing with below the surface. From there, our J Vice install team ran their own on-site testing, driving ground screws and checking the soil to confirm the ground would behave the way the reports said it would. No surprises, no guesswork. Just proof that the design was going to perform before a single classroom landed on it.

The install

We went in with the 2000mm J Vice screw pile paired with our bearer brackets, a combination that gives a solid, level platform ready to build straight off. The screws drove clean, the brackets took the bearers without fuss, and the whole foundation was in and signed off inside two days.

Two days. No concrete trucks, no curing wait, no torn-up school grounds. Just a foundation ready to build on, with kids back to their routine and the classrooms going up on schedule.
